In this one-time class, students will cut and paste photos to create funny collage placing their favorite cartoon character. Photoshop is an amazingly powerful and fun tool for artists and graphic designers. We will some of the Photoshop basic skills in this class: cut, paste, select, and eraser. My goal is to create a fun, creative learning environment where students can comfortably learn about Photoshop, bring their imagination to life, and share their digital art with one another. It is easier for students to share what they are doing and get help if Photoshop or Photopea is being used on the same computer running Zoom. Students will learn about Photoshop basic tools: Layers, Select, Cut, Paste, etc. I will show you how each tool works using the share screen function in Zoom. Students having any trouble have the option to share their screen for help. Procreate users welcome! We will begin with introductions and an explanation of the course. We will brainstorm fun ideas for famous cartoon characters in ubiquitous places: you sparring with Naruto or One Piece's Luffy, you walking to class with Sailor Moon, or your pet dog chasing with your favorite Pokemon! Please download any images you think you will need before class. For example, my cover image is Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story starring as Starman driving Elon Musk's Tesla through outer space. I downloaded two 'large' size photos: one of Buzz Lightyear and one of Starman. Each student will complete a digital collage by the end of this class! #creative ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE (ESL): Class is appropriate for (CEFR: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) Please message me to let me know if your learner is A1 or A2.
