What's included
1 live meeting
30 mins in-class hours per weekHomework
1 hour per week. Students will take a picture using the weekly theme to be shared in the next class.Class Experience
In this class, students will have the week between classes to take a picture using that week's chosen theme. Sometimes there will be specific themes, and sometimes there will be themes where students learn a photography term. It will always be fun! For example, when the chosen theme is window light, or artificial light-students will learn what these terms mean and how to get a picture with their camera. The classes will happen weekly. Each class will go as following- -Looking at pictures and fun games -Sharing pictures and why student chose to use it as the theme -Discussion on next week’s theme -Ideas on how they’ll take the picture that week Students will be able to get creative with the theme and use as little or much detail they'd like. No professional DSLR camera is required for this class. A phone or tablet with a camera, or any camera, is necessary to take the pictures. Students will also be given some tips on editing their pictures on their phone with (free) apps. If the student has an iPhone, I recommend "portrait mode" to get a more professional looking background. Students can upload their photo to the classroom, and it will be shared with the students for that week's class. Students will also be free to give ideas for themes as well. This is a fun photography club for all kids who love to take pictures!
Learning Goals
Students will learn different photography terms, using and finding light, simple phone editing on apps, and pushing their creative boundaries to get pictures each week for class.
