What's included
1 live meeting
30 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
Each week, students will learn creative new photography skills, share their photos from the previous week (or photos they took in the past), as well as encourage and chat with classmates from around the world. Each week, students will start by learning a creative new photography technique that they can try at home and there will be time for students to share their photos with the class if they wish. Students will learn how to give encouraging feedback to each other. While sharing the photo is optional, it is highly encouraged. Our Zoom classroom is a safe space to share your art without fear of judgment. Replacing perfectionism with confidence is a key focus of this class. Students will develop skills and creativity! The instructor will answer questions, model encouraging feedback, and help students grow healthy mindsets throughout the class. Grow in your character, confidence, and creativity! Students will learn new skills each class, and examples of topics include: -Tell a story with your camera -Take photos that impress friends and family -Create fun rainbowy effects using prisms, crystals, or sequins or other household items -Pose like a model – or how to help friends pose like models during your photoshoots -Arrange everything inside the picture so that it looks artistic (composition and design) -Find out how a spaghetti strainer is useful for photography! -Evaluate images and understand how to look at a photo and know what makes a photo great -Capture mouthwatering photos of food -Add a creative twist to any photo using items you can pick up at the dollar store -Learn how to find symbolism in a photo -Take photos of your pet -Take photos of your toys or collectibles Megapixels School of the Arts is an organization of 10 amazing teachers who are masters of their craft, and you might have the opportunity to meet some of them every now and then. There are days when the teacher assigned to your class is not available to teach, and in that instance, one of our other teachers will take over the class. No worries, only teachers trained to teach the class will become possible substitutes and we will usually post a message on the Outschool classroom as a heads-up. If you would prefer not to attend the session with a substitute teacher, feel free to send us a message through Outschool a day after your class occurs so we can give you a refund. Thank you!
