Don't just Take photos, learn to Make photos! As we explore various compositional techniques, students will learn to make beautiful images of the world around them! This is a great class for new students as well as graduates of Manual DSLR Photography for Kids. A DSLR is NOT required for this class, students can use any type of camera!

- Students will understand how we go about arranging a composition and how we can make changes to composition. - Students will learn six composition techniques, and practice using them in their photographs. - Students will be able to analyze the composition of a photograph by using the terms learned. - Students will learn to speak about their work with detail and pride, and share it with the group.
I hold a BA in Studio Art/Photography and Psychology, and am trained both as a photographer and as a Montessori assistant teacher. As an educator I have experience teaching children pre-K through high school.
Each week, students will be assigned to create photos utilizing the new elements of composition we have learned about, culminating in a final project where they utilize them all.
1 file available upon enrollmentStudents will need a camera -- any type will do, from a camera phone to a DSLR -- and capacity to upload their photos from a phone or computer.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
