Kids are no strangers to smartphones and selfies, but what if photography could play a completely different role in your child’s life? In this course we will learn hands-on and have fun in real-time, cameras are needed. Kids can too!

Beginner Level
In Photography for Kids, we will learn the parts and functions of the camera phone and digital camera, the history of photography, exposure, composition, settings, lighting, toolkits, terms, and careers. I will start each class with a short intro, acknowledgments, and go right into the lesson. I will take questions throughout and in message form. We will have homework, hands on photo assignments.
Learning Goals
Students will have some understanding of the parts and functions of their specific camera phone or digital camera.
Students will have had active experiences photographing items, moments, and people.

Hi, there my name is Eboni Joi and I teach the basics of photography with a hands-on approach and homework activities for each student to complete, it's sure to be a fun time. I have been a talent, stage, and media professional for over 15 years, and a coach and consultant for the last 5 years. I have a BFA from The New York Film Academy in Los Angeles and from Charlotte, NC I earned a Certificate of Photography from The Art Institute. I have been running my co-owned media company heading film projects and training talent and crew as needed. I like to teach how I learned and that's Hands-on, we will have discussions for understanding, and I will teach them from both a cell phone and a DSLR perspective. By the end of the course, they should have a basic knowledge of how to work a camera and its different components and how to get a nice clean shot.
