In this class we will cover the photography composition rules. This teaches students how to frame up a photograph, so the next time they are about to take a picture or film a video clip, they have ideas on where to place the camera and what to capture. As a former Audio/Video Production teacher, this was the first thing I taught my students in class. I would recommend this class for beginners getting into photography or videography. Students will understand and apply the photography composition rules to create engaging photographs or video clips.
I am a former Audio/Video Production teacher. I have a Broadcast Journalism Degree from the University of Arkansas, Master's Degree from Grand Canyon University in Curriculum and Instruction, and I am certified in Adobe Premiere Pro.
A phone or iPad to take photos and a way to get photos from a phone or iPad to the chat. I would suggest using email, or downloading the Google Drive app before class.
Students will participate in a mini scavenger hunt to take pictures of the rules we discuss.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
