Review/Photo Share
Depending on the number of students in this course, this may be a shortened session.
Students will improve their skills in photo composition by learning various components of the subject.
I've been a teacher in a traditional classroom since 2002. During that time, I have experience with pre-K through 8th grade. To further my interest in photography, I completed the New York Institute of Photography courses and received my certificate of completion in 2006. I've also completed several online training to strengthen my skills. I have photographed weddings, real estate, and portraits professionally but I absolutely love photographing nature and macro shots!
Homework Offered
Each week, students will be assigned a photo taking project and asked to share one or two of their favorite photos of the week to discuss in class. Public discussion is optional.
0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Students will be informally assessed through weekly sharing and critique discussions. A structured rubric and letter grade is available upon request.
Grades Offered
Beginner Basic Photography is highly recommended. Basic knowledge of how to operate a dslr is required.
Students will need a digital camera to complete this course. It does not have to be anything fancy or high-tech. As long as it takes pictures, it's fine! If students are unable to upload photos to the classroom, they will need to have access to printing.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
