In this week long course, we will cover all the basics to shooting and editing with a DSLR camera. This course is perfect for those who want to take the next step in photography and learn how to take amazing photos without guessing. This class is very interactive and open to all the questions your learner may have about photography. The following are the topics we will cover: Monday - Using a DSLR and how to change settings Tuesday - The relationship between f-stop, shutter speed, and ISO Wednesday - The effects of lighting and posing while shooting Thursday - Basic editing with Adobe Lightroom Friday - Advanced editing with Adobe Lightroom Please note: I will be using a Nikon camera and Adobe lightroom to show how to use a DSLR and how to edit with a software, but many of these concepts are universal for any kind of DSLR and editing software.
Learning Goals
Students will understand how to frame and capture a photo and edit it to their liking in editing software.

While your student can learn about the basic concepts of photography without any equipment, it is best to have equipment ready for your child to apply what they've learned. I would recommend your learner have a DSLR camera (Nikon and Canon make great beginner DSLRs starting around $300) and an editing software (there are free editing softwares online, but I use Adobe Lightroom with costs $120 a year).
