Class experience
Please read all information for class description, multi-day classes, a special offer and alternative available days/times! ONE TIME SESSION Lessons will focus on phonic rules, spelling rules and types of sentences. Learners will increase knowledge to apply in scaffolded lessons. For each area of instruction learners will practice through kinesthetic and interactive activities that support working memory and brain integration which are presented on a shared screen. Learners will demonstrate increased understanding of phonics, spelling and in the application of constructing sentences.
I worked with children in various settings with a dual certification (birth-8th). I am now retired bringing my skills set to online learning. My certification allowed me to work with children in general education and special education with auxiliary credits in Reading. My primary degrees are English (BA) and Early Childhood Special Education (MA). I am extremely language based with additional degrees in Speech Pathology and Audiology and Child Development with concentrations in literacy, linguistics and language. I enjoy working with learners who are reluctant, struggling, or proficient at current level and ready to extend a skill.
Pencil Paper (Notebook for multi-day, re-enrolled learners for record keeping of progression with spell checks and writing.) Quiet workspace for writing and work on a shared screen.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
