🏫 🏫 Miss out on this summer camp? I offer it as a 1:1 course! https://outschool.com/classes/11-phonics-for-littles-kindergarten-early-elementary-reading-comprehension-RicBv0AA 🏫 🏫

Phonics is the foundation for reading! Are you ready to set your child on that path? This is an introductory course where we start right from the beginning for children just entering their reading journey. Based on the Wilson Fundations reading curriculum, I take a small group of students through a systematic course that touches on letter and sound recognition, letter formation, sentence structure and reading comprehension. This is a live instruction course. We also play games, sing songs, watch videos, and have fun!

Each lesson in this course takes between 15 and 20 minutes, with three lessons per week - just perfect for busy little ones. Your student will have direct interaction with me via Zoom, and I can zero in on the group's needs. This is a full curriculum summer camp for beginning phonics learners.

This is a six week course that meets three to five days a week. Please see my other courses for extended content that follows the next steps in their Phonics and reading instruction, as well as one-on-one sessions and self-paced lessons. I love working with pre-school and kindergarten aged students with my enthusiastic, positive, and approachable teaching style. Let me help your student succeed with pre K and kindergarten reading tutoring!

Learning Needs
I am a certified special education teacher, and teach math on a daily basis to a crew of diverse and neurospicy learners. Students under the ASD umbrella, as well as student with attention / ADHD needs are encouraged.
Pre-Requisites
Student should be able to hold a pencil / marker in their hand and be able to create strokes on a page.
Supply List
Students will need something to write on. I suggest a whiteboard marker, white board and eraser. But, they could also use markers, crayons, pencils, or pens with paper.

Some tasks use an "Elementary Magnet Set with Folding Board", as found on Amazon for $20, but the tasks can also be completed by using magnet letters (like the kind used on fridges), foam letters, or any sort of physical representation of the letter.
