Children need to learned how letters blend together to build words. I've created this course for young learners to meet once a week for 55 mins. I have prepared google slides to help young learners blend sounds together. We will focus on learning a set of CVC words each week. Such as, [-at, -am, -an, -ad, -ap,-ag, -ot, -og] and many more (Below you can find the full list of words that will be learned.) They will learn to blend the CVC words. We will practice them together. Then, they will try to practice them with less teacher assistance. We will focus on their listening and thinking skills. Finally, the young learner will learn how to use these CVC words in sentences. While practicing basic sentences, the young learner will learn common sight words such as, [the, has, no, on, look, in, is, have, it, and, to, too] and more. The young learner will learn these words, through fun activities. While learning how to blend CVC words the child will also learn the understanding of rhyming words. I will give many praises and rewards such as stickers, or we will do a fun activity related to what we're learning for their accomplishments. Children learn best through repetition and constant practice. I will share YouTube links that are great resources to help your child with learning CVC words. I will also provided weekly ideas on how the young learner can continue to practice through play at home. Students can have paper and pencil/markers for this class put it is not required. Flash cards: Parents can write each sight words and CVC words on them so that student can have each set in class. (Optional)
