Ms. Allie holds a Bachelor of Arts (English, Linguistics) and a Bachelor or Education (Middle/Secondary) from Australian universities. She has 15 years experience teaching English and literacy to students across the English speaking world. She also has extensive experience working with students with Dyslexia, ASD, and ADHD. She herself is both Autistic and has ADHD.
Homework Offered
Students will receive a summary of the sounds and words for the week, as well as suggestions of spelling and reading activities they can undertake at home.Assessments Offered
Learners are assessed on a formative basis throughout the class. If I believe your child is demonstrating confident knowledge and understanding of the Foundation Level concepts I will suggest they move on to the Level One (green) course.Grades Offered
Dysgraphia is supported though a grapheme based approach, proven by research to be effective for dysgraphia. Multi-sensory approaches promote movement based learning, perfect for ADHD. Engaging repetition aids dyslexia. Autistic teacher
