By the end of this course curriculum learners will be able to
1. identify all short vowel sounds. 
2. blend, segment, and decode CVC words independently. 
3. read simple sentences using CVC words and explicitly taught sight words independently.
4. Add and subtract numbers 1-20 using tools such as a number line and a ten frame. 

I have an Associates of Arts degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Social Studies Education. I am certified to teach Social Studies in grades 6-12. Additionally, I have my TESOL certification.

I have been a 12th grade teacher, a 10th grade teacher, and most recently a Lead Teacher in a pre-school where I exclusively worked with 3, 4, and 5 year olds. I taught at the pre-school for three years with a focus on fostering the development of early literacy and math skills. I've been a teacher on Outschool since the Summer of 2020. During that time I've continuously taught my Sight Word Swing Level 1 and 2 classes, my Writer's Workshop class, and done private tutoring.
