Phonics: Master Word Decoding Basics 2 (Multi-Day)

In this 6-week multi-day class students will learn, practice and review how to segment Long Vowel (CVCe) sounds in words and blend these letter sounds together to read unknown words.

Description

Class Experience

⭐️ In this small group skill base phonics class students will become proficient in decoding words with long vowels (silent e). Students that can decode quickly and accurately will improve their reading fluency which is the core goal of this class. 

⭐️My method for teaching is the I do, We do, You do practice. This allows the students to watch the teacher, practice as a class and try decoding independently. During my lesson I will teach with my white board and sharing my screen using props,...

Students will be able to decode unknown long vowel words with silent e, words with vowel teams, and R-controlled vowel words by segmenting sounds and blending sounds together to read words.

Student will receive word decoding worksheets that reviews our weekly lessons and activities.

Paper, Pencil, and Crayons

Student will be assessed informally through discussions, activities, and games. I will provide guidance and support when needed during class.

50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
