Class Experience
In this ongoing class, students will learn about various kindergarten level phonics skills such as vowel sounds, word families, blends, and digraphs. Students will also practice writing their letters while working on a phonics skill. We will learn skills each week through hands on activities, songs and poems, as well as practicing writing our letters. This class will also provide exposure to routine and structure. Each class will focus on one concept and does not build on the previous week,...
Some activities may be completed after class and students are encouraged to read throughout the week.
Any materials needed will be posted in the classroom a week in advance and will usually include PDF's
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
