US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - Kindergarten
In this engaging one-time course, learners will review the alphabet with a chant, practice letter recognition (A-Z), and learn the short vowel sounds. Interactive activities and bright visuals will keep students involved with their learning as we spin the ABC wheel and say the letters, hear silly sounds to help learn the vowel sounds, practice writing them on screen and play games to reinforce the lesson material. The teacher will guide learners to participate as a group in all activities, so there is little to no downtime in this lesson! Learners will be encouraged to shout out letters, talk to the vowels, make sounds, and join in hand gestures for a memorable, action-packed, 25-minute learning journey. A Google Slide show will be screen shared by the teacher only. The Wheel of Names used for the ABC and review game will be screen shared by the teacher only. The learners will not click links, access anything outside the Outschool Zoom classroom, or log into accounts. By the end of the lesson, learners will have a firm grasp of which letters are short vowels and the sounds they make.
