Phonics Level 1: Letters B and M, Sight Word "a" ESL Friendly

In this engaging one-time course, learners will practice vowel sounds, learn the letters B, and M, learn the sight word "a," and begin reading CVC words and sentences.

Interactive activities and bright visuals will keep students involved with their learning as we sort uppercase and lowercase letters and vowels and consonants, practice writing letters on the screen, play a game to reinforce the lesson material, and more! 

The teacher will guide learners to participate as a group in all activities, so there is little to no downtime in this lesson! Learners will be encouraged to shout out letters, talk to the letters, make sounds, and join in hand gestures for a memorable, action-packed, 25-minute learning journey.

A Google Slide show will be screen shared by the teacher only. The Wheel of Names used for the sorting games will be screen shared by the teacher only.  The learners will not click links,  access anything outside the Outschool Zoom classroom, or log into accounts. 

By the end of the lesson, learners will have a firm grasp of the sounds B and M make, recognize the sight word "a," and begin reading CVC words and short sentences.
