- Learners will learn what sounds consonants make.
- Learners will start to be aware that certain letters make certain sounds (phonemic awareness).
- Learners will begin to read short words and sentences (CVC, sight words, and simple sentences).
- Learners will know what sounds the short vowels make (phonemes of a, e, i, o, u).
- Learners will learn which letters are short/long vowels.
- Learners will write letters.
- Learners will practice an ABC chant.
- Learners will review letter recognition and sounds A-Z.
