Each class will begin with reviewing the sh, ch, and th sounds. Learners will practice reading skills and writing words. For example, our focus skill for class one day may be the silent e rule. We will read words with and without the silent e and discuss the rule. Students will look at several words and find the ones that end with the silent e (such as cape, tape, cap, tap, bike, hike). Each child will have an opportunity to read a word individually. We will then practice writing 2-4 words....
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
