In this class, your child will use their knowledge of letters and their sounds to help them read and write! We will primarily focus on reading and spelling short vowel words with blends in this class through fun and engaging activities such as phonics bingo, picture/word sorts, reading decodable texts, and other literacy activities and games! This class is great for learners who are in Late Kindergarten, First or Second Grade Your child should be able to identify all letters of the alphabet...
This class is taught in English.
I am a reading specialist trained in helping students learn to read and write. I have my Masters in Literacy and my Bachelors in Elementary Education. I am trained in a variety of phonic programs including the Orton-Gillingham approach.
Your child should have a dry-erase board and markers. Paper and markers is also fine.
