This course is designed to help beginning readers learn and practice the building blocks of reading. Each class will begin with phonics skills practice; students will practice saying consonant and vowel sounds and identifying the corresponding letters with the teacher. Next, students will learn a long vowel sound, created by a vowel team or the silent 'e'. Recommended: paper and a writing utensil.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
