Description
Class Experience
Students will improve their phonics skills and master 12 different consonant blends.
I received my AA in Education from Liberty University with a focus in reading education. I have the privilege of educating my elementary-aged children at home, including reading and phonics instruction.
Every week students (with the help of their parents) should find or draw and take a picture of items they find that start or end with each of the blends of the week and then upload the photos to the classroom page. Three blends, three pictures, every week.
Families will need access to a camera or smartphone to send photos and videos of their homework each week. Access to a printer for coloring pages.
No live meetings, and maybe some time outside of class.
There will be scavenger hunts that need to be worked on outside of video time. They should be easy and fun, but are necessary to help your child master each week's skills. You or another helper will need to assist your child for 10 minutes, 3 times a week.
