Description
Class Experience
Students will build reading confidence, have fun, and learn how to decode (read) and encode (spell) words like hot, chop, hug, math, vet, and then.
After the session, parents will be messaged with a list of words to practice at home. This is optional but amazing practice to solidify the new skill! Words can be written on their whiteboard, spelled in the air with wands, spelled with chalk, etc. Have fun with it! Students will also be sent a magical gameboard that can be printed and played at home!
A magic wand (if you don’t have one, make one!) A whiteboard (or several blank pieces of paper) A dry-erase marker (or a marker if your student is using paper) Students are welcome to dress up as witches and wizards!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
