In this Phonics Ongoing Class, students will master silent-e words, consonant blends, and common digraphs through fun, interactive reading, writing, and spelling activities. Group read-aloud activities help to develop fluency, while fun story questions spur reading comprehension. Come camp out in the colorful world of Jojo and Jake! K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd Grade. The following is a leveling guide for the "Phonics for Reading, Writing, and Spelling" curriculum.
Phonics for Reading, Writing, and Spelling - Level A: "Hello, Magic-e"
This is for students who have mastered CVC and are ready to learn CVCe words.
Phonics for Reading, Writing, and Spelling - Level B: "CVCe, Blends, and...In this ongoing class, young readers will gain knowledge and confidence as they reach beyond CVC and CVC-e to add consonant blends and common digraphs to their skill set.
Homework Offered
An after-class worksheet will be provided to solidify what the students learned in class. Also, remember that your child can re-watch the class recording in the classroom for further practice.Assessments Offered
Students will be continually encouraged during class.Grades Offered
A simple, one-page worksheet will be attached on the main classroom page just prior to class. You should hold off on giving this to your child until after class as they can be a distraction during class. The worksheet can be used after class to reinforce the day's concept.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
