Phonics FLEX 1: CVC, Blends, and Digraphs
In this four week flex class, we will practice identifying, sounding out, spelling and writing with consonant-vowel-consonant words, beginning blends, and digraphs (sh,ch and th). **This class is ideal for students who have starting reading and writing some CVC words and who would like to work on the class material most days. Check out my other Phonics FLEX classes for material presented more slowly.

Class Experience
This class is ideal for students who know their letter sounds and have experience with cvc words. I think phonics is ideal in the flex class version because students can practice over and over again on their own schedule. This class is fast paced and present many new concepts in a week. Students will be able to identify both sounds each vowel make Students will correctly write cvc (consonant-vowel-consonant) words. Students will identify the beginning blends in words. Students will practice spelling words with beginning blends. Students will identify sh,ch, and th in words. Students will be able to write words and sentences with sh, ch and th. Students will create a sentence that includes a capital letter, spaces and punctuation.
I am a certified early childhood educator that has taught phonics in classrooms for several years.
Completing the games, participating with the prompting videos, answering the challenge questions and practicing the sound drills.
Students should have paper or a whiteboard during prompting videos Students will utilize paper to write and illustrate sentences There are some materials in this class you may want to print, but they are optional
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No live meetings, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
