Phonics CVC Words Camp: Summer Prep (5 Days a Week)

Designed for early learners, our program uses fun, interactive activities to teach the basics of reading through Consonant-Vowel-Consonant words like 'cat' and 'dog.' With expert instructors, personalised attention, and a playful approach, children quickly build confidence and skills in blending sounds to form words, setting a strong foundation for future literacy success. 

The class for each short vowel sound will include :

1. Direct instructions to identify some popular words during i-spy game activities 
2. Encoding words to identify the spellings 
3. Reading fun animated books with short vowel sounds 
4. Playing group games or taking turns to recap all the family words 

Each class includes fun games and story reading , interactive powerpoints as well as some hands-on games. 

This class is student-centered where the teacher guides students to explore, learn and practice how to read three letter words through a multi-sensory learning approach. The class includes phonetic songs, TPR (total physical response), interactive games and writing practice of the material. The focus over the next 10 days will be CVC words focused on Short Vowel sounds. We will focus on each vowel for 2 days with a culmination of reading games and practice of mixed vowel sounds.

This class is highly interactive which means the learners will be required to participate during the class. The teacher will follow the pace of all the learners and will teach as per the overall class progress. Additional homework is optional and can be provided on request.
