Day 1: Introduction to Phonics and Letter Sounds Start with a warm-up song Introduce the letters and their sounds Vocabulary Game/Activity Review of what we have learnt. Day 2: Blending and Segmenting Sounds Review the letter sounds from the previous day including a song Blending and segmenting words, such as cat (/c/ /a/ /t/), dog (/d/ /o/ /g/), sun (/s/ /u/ /n/), etc. Activity/ Game Review of the blending and segmenting skills Day 3: Rhyming and Word Families Start with a warm-up song and review Day 2. Learn Rhyming and Word Families S Activities Review of Rhyming words and Word families. If your family needs assistance financially, please reach out to us via the messaging system. Learning Goals
To learn the letter-sound correspondences of the alphabetic code and how to use them to read and write words.
To practice blending and segmenting sounds to decode and encode words of different lengths and structures.
