Phonics Assessment: Assessing Your Child's Reading and Spelling Skills (15 Min)

In this one time 15 minute class, I will assess your child's phonics skills using a couple of assessments. This class is for students in pre-school, pre-k or kindergarten. I will assess your child's letter/sound recognition and phonemic awareness (ability to rhyme, segment and blends sounds). If your child has strong recognition of letters I may assess their spelling skills. After the assessment is complete, I will write a mini report on your child's strengths, areas of growth, and make some recommendations for next steps. This assessment is a great way to learn more about your child's reading skills and what classes they would benefit from taking.

This 15 minute assessment session is geared towards younger students who have less stamina taking classes online. It may be necessary to book more than 1 session to complete all the assessments.
