Description

Class Experience

In this ongoing class students will learn a new phonetic rule each week. It is perfect for students who can blend three letter CVC words. They should know their letters, sounds, and be able to read simple books or passages without much help. Typically students in first or second grade have these skills, although there are some advanced readers in kindergarten that may be able to join.

Day One: Whiteboard and marker

Day Two and Three: Reading passage (typically one page), crayons and a pencil

1 hour 15 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
