Phonics- An Organ-Gillingham Approach
In this one- on- one tutoring offered course. Students will begin to understand literacy skills, which will increase phonological awareness. Lessons will be based on your child's needs in phonics, phonemic awareness and/ or morphology.

US Grade Kindergarten - 5
Beginner - Advanced Level
This class is one- on- one class that will meet twice a week for an hour. I will apply sound/symbol knowledge to spelling and reading comprehension using targeted multisensory activities and direct instruction. I will focus on decoding, encoding, and reading comprehension strategies, using multi-sensory activities and direct instruction to present a systematic approach to phonics. Activities are specifically tailored to K-2nd grade students and provide practice in phonemic awareness, sound/symbol recognition, syllabication, word formation, sentence composition, story reading, and kinesthetic/tactile memory.
Learning Goals
Students will gain confidence as readers while improving basic reading skills, phonetic awareness and sight word recognition while having fun.

Learning Needs
I will adjust the pace of the lesson to meet the needs of the learner. I will also incorporate activities that use the senses and different modalities.
