Description
Class Experience
During this one time class students will develop an understanding of the phasis of mitosis, as well as learn what chromatid, centromere, and chromosomes are. They will model the stages of mitoisis using Gummy bears and the provided Mitosis Stages sheets. Students will also gain an understanding of why cells divide in the first place. This is a perfect class for middle school students who are studying cell division that may need a hands on approach to learning. Plus, you get to eat Gummy...
Students will be able to identify chomatid, centromere, chromosomes, DNA and the stages of Mitosis. Students will be able to explain why cells divide.
I have enjoyed teaching science labs in both the public school system and homeshool tutorials for more than 10 years now.
