While dogs and cats are the most common pets now, in the past people have kept badgers, monkeys and even polar bears (to name just a few unusual pets!) Join us as we learn about the history of pets and discover some unusual pets from the past belonging to Kings, Emperors and Presidents. During this class students will: Learn about the first pets Know what pets were common in Andient Egypt, China, Medieval England and the nineteenth century Discover some unusual pets from the past.
I am a qualified school teacher in the UK and have a history PhD. I have taught learners from aged 3 to the postgraduate level.
No supplies needed
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
