Pet lovers, unite! Come join me and my three pets in this fun, informal social class. You and your pet(s) are invited to come and hang out in this fun, and informal, social class with me. We will practice social skills such as taking turns, listening to others, asking and answering questions all about our pets. I can’t wait to meet you and your pet(s), and I can’t wait for you to meet mine! The teacher will ease your learner into the class with a low-stress introduction activity. Each learner will have an opportunity to show off and introduce theirpets(s). The opportunity to meet students from across the US and even the world, and learn about their pets is all what this class is about. We may do other activities as time allows. Please note: This is a social class designed to get kids comfortable chatting with other students and the teacher will ask questions about your pet. ALL learners will have a chance to introduce their animal friends! I’m so excited to see all the different pets that everyone has! *Parents, please note that each child joining must be registered even if they are sharing devices. This is important so I can have an accurate number of attendees.
Learning Goals
The students will be engaged in the class, by talking about their pet(s). The students will learn listening skills, social interaction, and telling interesting facts about their pet(s) to other learners. I will encourage students to ask each other questions, and simply just have fun!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Thank you for checking out my classes! My name is Mrs. S and I offer a variety of classes that I am passionate about. I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have two sons whom I adore. We also have 3 dogs who love to participate in my classes! ;) I have 15 years teaching experience, the last three have been fully online. I have a Master's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language, a Bachelor's degree in English, and I am also certified to teach PreK - 4th grades, all subjects. My main passion is helping students become more proficient in any English skill; reading comprehension, reading strategies, identifying text evidence and crafting written responses to open-ended questions, vocabulary, grammar, and more. I also love to help students employ English skills across content areas, especially when interacting with non-fiction texts. I also love many different types of crafts and plan to offer many handcraft classes. I look forward to the opportunity to meet your child's unique needs in a fun and interactive way. See you in class!
