In this one time class learners will learn how to make super fun and easy "puffy paint" in all the colors Pete's shoes turn. Then we will read "Pete the Cat : I Love My White Shoes" and paint along with each page of the book. We will discuss what an author and illustrator are and some reading comprehension. Above all we will have a blast! After Class you can receive a PDF for an additional Pete the Cat activity to continue the fun after class that will be posted to our classroom page. We will: ~Go over all our materials ~Go step by step through the process of making our very own puffy paint ~Mix in our Colors ~ Begin Our Story with questions and learning who wrote and illustrated the book and what their jobs are. ~ Read each page and use our paint to make the story come alive!

You will need: ~ Paper to use our paint with ~ Bowls or Cups to mix our Paint (4) ~ Spoon ~ Paint Brush ~ Bottle of glue such as Elmers School Glue ~ Bottle of Shaving Cream ~ Blue, Red and Brown food coloring

Hello! My name is Ms. Maisie and my students love to have fun with that name and call me Ms. Crazy whenever I do something goofy! (which happens a lot!) I have been teaching Pre-K and after school programs for elementary students for 9 years now and absolutely love it! Here on outschool I teach a fun and engaging Pre-k "Circle Time" class where we will sing, dance, read and more on our way to learning our alphabet sounds, numbers, shapes and whatever our minds can think up.
