Explore drawing using simple shapes, adding shading to make drawings more realistic, drawing using perspective, and using the elements of art to make drawings exceptional. The session will start with a short conversation to establish the learners’ confidence level and what they want to achieve. I encourage your learners to share a drawing that they have previously created if they feel comfortable! I will demonstrate a technique related to what they wish to achieve. I will guide them and provide encouraging, constructive feedback as they draw! As we wrap up our time, I will suggest and encourage other drawing activities for further independent practice and/or another private lesson. Session Themes Can Include: Week of May 20th- Theme 1: Drawing animals with the Elements of Art: Lines, Shapes, and Texture Week of May 27th- Theme 2: Drawing nature with the Elements of Art: Form, Value, and Space Week of June 3rd- Theme 3: Drawing hands! Week of June 10th-Theme 4: Drawing faces! Week of June 17th- Theme 5: Drawing using one-point perspective!
Learning Goals
Every session will look different due to the individual learner's needs. I aim for your learner to leave this class having had a boost in confidence in their drawing skills and more techniques and drawing exercises in their drawing toolkit.

Supply List
Materials - Paper (Sketchbook or printer paper) - Pencils. #2 or HB pencil - Eraser - Pencil sharpener Optional Materials - Ruler - Pencil set (for example, a 2H - 6B set) - Blending stump (Alternative: q-tip or tissue) + Any drawing they wish to share if they feel comfortable!

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I recently graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) with dual degrees in industrial (product) design and service design. I have been drawing and creating since I was a kid.
