Hello and thank you so much for your interest in my classes! I use the Explain-Demo-Practice approach in my sessions, with optional work to do at home for further practice. I use slides, video clips and a whiteboard for explaining the topics and making them fun. The learner is welcome to ask questions whenever they feel like and I also often initiate discussion. I teach Maths to students of ages 5-16, specialising in the UK curriculum for years 1-11 (Key Stages 1-4), GCSE (Foundation+Higher), iGCSE, SATs, British grammar & independent school entrance exams prep. I'm a tutor in UK schools and have taught both in-school & online, hold an Enhanced DBS certificate and am safeguarding trained.
Optional homework will be provided for further practice of the topics covered in the session. The family is welcome to advise on the amount of homework that the learner has the capacity to do.
Both formal and informal assessment will be done during the sessions, and the results will be informed to the parents before the end of the session.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
