Private Math Tutoring (Grades 7-8 & Pre-Algebra) – Khan Academy-Aligned

Master Middle School Math with Expert Guidance + Khan Academy’s Proven Curriculum!

Is your child struggling with fractions, equations, or word problems? Do they need a strong foundation for Algebra 1? My private tutoring sessions combine personalized instruction with the Khan Academy math curriculum to ensure students build deep understanding, confidence, and real-world problem-solving skills.

Why This Approach Works:

Khan Academy’s Structured Path: Lessons follow KA’s carefully sequenced curriculum, covering all key standards for 7th grade, 8th grade, and pre-algebra.

Personalized Pacing: I adapt to your students' needs—whether they need to fill gaps, keep up with class, or accelerate ahead.

Interactive & Engaging: We use KA’s videos, practice problems, and quizzes, plus supplemental explanations, games, and real-life examples.

Mastery Focus: No rushing! Students progress only once they’ve genuinely grasped each concept.

Key Topics Covered (Aligned with Khan Academy):

7th-Grade Math

•Ratios, proportions, and percentages

•Negative numbers (operations, word problems)

•Expressions, equations, and inequalities

•Geometry (scale drawings, circles, angles)

•Statistics and probability

8th-Grade Math

•Linear equations and functions (graphing, slope)

•Systems of equations (intro)

•Exponents, roots, and scientific notation

•Pythagorean theorem and transformations

•Geometric volume and transformations

Pre-Algebra (Algebra 1 Prep)

•Multi-step equations and inequalities

•Working with variables and formulas

•Graphing and analyzing linear relationships

•Radicals, exponents, and polynomials (intro)

•Problem-solving strategies for word problems

How Sessions Work:

1. Diagnostic Check: Use KA’s skill assessments to identify strengths and gaps.

2. Custom Plan: Tailored lessons targeting your student’s needs (remediation/enrichment).

3. Blended Learning: Combine KA’s interactive platform with my live explanations, tips, and
    shortcuts.

4. Progress Tracking: Regular feedback and mastery reports via Khan Academy’s dashboard.
