Parents love it when students do their chores without help, right?? In this 2 module course, we will explore the specific ways we hurt our success 'playing victim' before 'owning it' touching on growth mindset and emotional intelligence.
Class experience
This course has been successful for 2 decades in different formats. 1. We take on a real-life experience (an actual activity) to demonstrate human behavior and set a baseline. 2. We walk through personal examples of 'playing victim' and other real-life behaviors carefully. 3. We will cover the content of the broad topic of responsibility and make it personal to class. 4. I have had a lot of success in winning the kids over in the first session to stay engaged in both sessions. I would ask for your grace in the "transformation" period of becoming responsible... this course has proven data and parental feedback that it can work BUT it is not a magic pill.
