Personal Magic Classes - One-On-One With a Pro Performer and Mentor
Class experience
Before the class even begins, we communicate via Outschool messaging and decide what specific or general magic skills are desired. This isn't "a trick". This is about working one-on-one, mentoring to improve desired area of magic. Therefore, each class will have its own specialized agenda. These are learner directed. This can be a one-time session, or the student can continue forward with an ongoing mentoring program. In some instances, we will look at pre-recorded video to...
To ensure effective tutoring, the teacher suggests meeting 2x per week. Book additional recurring meetings after the initial purchase.
Students will learn what they want and / or need to learn. This can range from sleight of hand to presentation skills, from using special arcane magician secrets to creating personal ways of creating a magical effect, from improving a single trick to creating a personal magic show. They can also learn a new trick of their desire, or one I suggest. I can give special help for doing sleight of hand. A special area of focus for aspiring magicians is presentation, and this is one of my areas of expertise.
I've been a magician since childhood and a professional performer since 1972. I've written books, magazine articles and created teaching videos. I have taught magic classes to kids since 2001.
Homework Offered
If the student is doing ongoing sessions, then practice is essential to progress. How much is required is relative, and ongoing sessions will move forward to the point of improvement achieved.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

For learning close-up magic with such items as cards and coins, having a close-up pad is a good idea.
There are over two zillion sources. I'll recommend specific ones as useful.
The magic classes I teach are for close-up magic with cards, coins, everyday objects and some special magic objects, too. I also include the very special and important "inner secrets" of magic. Misdirection, creating mystery and surprise, using...
