Hey pet lovers! Join me on a fun adventure as we learn about pets and create fun crafts together! Each day, students will have an opportunity for show and tell, where they can show their real pet or a stuffed animal that corresponds with the pet of the day. We will do some sort of rhyme or story, then students will get to create a pet craft each day. I will allow plenty of time for them to be creative! Parents, it is very important to check the supply list for this class. Day 1: Cats: Students will lean fun facts about cats. They will learn the rhyme 5 Little Kitty Cats, and we will make a paper bag cat craft together. Students will need a lunch size paper bag, markers, different colors of paper, googly eyes, and any decorative items they like. Students are also welcome to bring their cat or cat stuffed animals for show and tell. Day 2: Dogs: Students will learn fun facts about dogs. If anyone has a dog or special dog stuffed animal, they are welcome to bring it to show the class. We will read the book, Harry the Dirty Dog, and create a dog headband craft together. Students will need to print the worksheet for today. They will also need markers or crayons, scissors, and tape. If they are not proficient with scissors, please help them cut it out before class. Day 3: Fish: Students will learn a little about fish and how to take care of them, they are welcome to bring any fish pets or stuffed animals for show and tell. They will learn the Wish for a Fish rhyme, and they will create their own paper plate fish. Students will need a paper plate, markers, glue, and pieces of colorful tissue paper cut into squares. Day 4: Birds: Students will learn a little about birds today. They are welcome to bring any pet birds or stuffed animals to show and tell. They will play bird BINGO and create their own toilet paper roll birds. Students will need a toilet paper roll, glue and/or tape, colorful feathers (can be found at craft stores or Walmart), and googly eyes for this class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree from Washington State University
Hi, friends! My name is Teacher Angela, and I love teaching early learning classes. My classes include topics of early literacy, STEAM, circle time, and full curriculum classes. I have been working with kids as long as I can remember. I have babysat, been a nanny, and helped look after my 6 younger siblings.
I have my Bachelor's degree in Human Development, with a certificate in Child Development and Care. I have worked with preschoolers since 2010. Some of my roles have included teaching preschool, and acting as a Program Supervisor and Director of a child care center. I helped develop curriculum for the classrooms and helped grow the preschool program as a whole. I have worked with many curriculums, and I have training in Zoo-Phonics and Handwriting Without Tears. I also taught ESL online for 2 years. I am currently finishing my master's degree in Elementary Education.
My teaching style is to encourage conversation, engagement, and fun in the classroom. I think it is important for kids to have opportunities to share and interact. I also think it is so important for kids to have fun learning! Learning shouldn't just be through worksheets and homework, it should involve motions and play! In my classes, we will have so much fun learning. We will go on adventures, sing songs, do lots of arts and crafts, complete experiments, and use lots of movement. Some of my favorite book characters are Pete the Cat and Little Blue Truck. I can't wait to meet you in the classroom! :)
