I am enthusiastic about helping students become life long learners! My favorite question from students is: "what would happen if?". Kids are naturally curious and my goal is to fuel curiosity via discussion and investigation with students. One way I fuel curiosity in students is using nature or common everyday objects as examples in my classes. Nature has lots of math and science "baked-in". For example: the digging, building, planting and caring of a small garden helps students see and experience how math and science apply to real-life situations.

I am an avid gardener and enjoy building things with my hands. Best part in my own lifelong learning process is when things don't go as planned. That, for me, is when curiosity and learning takes place.

I enjoy teaching algebra, geometry, chemistry, biology, earth science, and forensic science. I am a homeschooling dad of 12+ years and math & science teacher of 8 years in a traditional classroom. I have a Master's of Science in Geology, Master's of Art in Counseling, and Bachelor's of Science in Marine Science.
