Students will understand the basics of a Periodic Table. What are groups and what are Periods? How are elements classified according to groups and periods. Examples of elements in different groups and periods, their physical and chemical properties. I will use google slides and white board to present information. Students will create their own periodic table along with guidance from teacher. I will use white board, give notes .Students will be given a blank periodic table . Students should be aware of common symbols of elements
Learning Goals
Students will have an understanding of how elements are classified and arranged in the periodic table and why it is necessary to classify elements .Students will understand what are Alkali metals, Alkaline earth metals, Transition elements ,Halogens, Metalloids and Noble gases
