Description

Class Experience

Learners will be familiar with the periodic table.
Learners will know what an atomic number is, what an atomic mass is, an atom, proton, neutron, electron and a symbol. 
Learners will learn the basics of compounds
Learners will become familiar with physical reactions and changes in the states of matter
Learners will be able to sing the first 10 elements of the periodic table and possibly more.
My full name is Anna Ssentongo, I have my doctorate and masters degrees in public health/ Epidemiology. I study disease outbreaks such as the coronavirus- 2019 (COVID-19). I have published nearly 50 scientific papers and I have my first book coming out this spring. I have taught college students at Penn State University and I also used to teach preschool. I love to teach!

There is no required homework, but I will post ways to advance your child’s learning. Examples include fun packets, videos, online resources, and daily activities. Let me know what you need, and I am happy to send additional resources to the class as a whole or to individual learners. I will do my best to keep all learners challenged. 
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No live meetings, and no time outside of class.
