In this class students will be taught the three different punctuation marks that can be used at the end of sentences: period, exclamation mark, and question mark. Students will listen to a short paragraph where they will learn why it is important to use the correct punctuation! Then we will discuss what each punctuation mark means, and when to use it. Students will practice listening to several sentences where they must decide which punctuation mark is being used. Then they will write their own sentence, and share it with the class. The class will decide which punctuation mark is being used. Students will need three small pieces of paper (post it note sized), a piece of paper to write their sentence on, a pencil, and a crayon/marker.
