Learners till have the opportunity to learn and practice a variety of jazz dance steps. New steps will be focused on each week including:

Plié, Relevé, Tendu, Gallops, Rock Turn, Ball Change, Step Hops, Front and Side Battement, Chaîné turns, Russian Jumps, Split Leaps, and more!
Learners are encouraged to stretch and practice their steps 2-3 times per week for about 15 minutes.

Depending on your flooring, bare feet, tennis shoes, or ballet slippers can be worn.

Learners can also bring a water bottle to class, and will be given a drink break when needed.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Jazz Dance is a physical activity, and so adult supervision throughout class is recommended as there is always a level of risk associated with any physical activity. Please have a clear space available (at least 4X4 ft square) so your learner can move about freely and safely while standing and on the floor.

They are also encouraged to have a water bottle close by and will have the opportunity for a drink break.

We will stretch at the beginning of each lesson to ensure we are ready to move.
