In this one week camp, learners will sharpen their skills in a different type of performance each day.

Class experience

Learners will learn the skills needed to succeed in a variety of performance styles. They will also improve their confidence, self-esteem, and collaboration skills overall.
I am an experienced teacher, youth theatre director, children's playwright, actress, and summer camp leader who is passionate about nurturing children's confidence, creativity and imagination through performance.
Homework Offered
Learners will be asked to prepare a topic for the public speaking theme on the last day of camp. They will also be given a short time to polish this material in camp before delivering it.
1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Learners will be given positive oral feedback to improve their performance skills. Each learner will also be given a certificate on the last day of camp recognizing their special skills and strengths. More detailed written comments can be given upon request.
Grades Offered
Learners will be invited to gather costumes and props from around their houses during camp in order to enhance their performances. They will also need paper, a pencil and an eraser for each day. The script for the third day of camp will be provided in the classroom before the camp day starts and will also be screen shared during camp.
All material used in camp will be age appropriate and will be drawn from sources in the public domain.
The script used on the third day will be decided on closer to the start of the camp, based on number of participants. It will be a script in the public domain with public performance rights.
