I will demonstrate turns, assess each dancer, and provide individual feedback and corrections to improve their technique.Class Experience
This class is intended for intermediate to advanced dancers with prior technical training in ballet and/or jazz dance, and will be tailored to the abilities of the individual dancers attending this workshop. Class structure: Warm-up Stretch Practice those turns! (and practice, and practice, and practice some more...) Technique will include piqué turns, pirouettes en de hors and en de dans (ballet and jazz techniques), leg-hold turns, pirouettes à la second, and/or fouetté, depending on the levels and goals of the individual dancers.
Learning Goals
The dancers will work on techniques for improving their turns in ballet and jazz, focusing on spotting, placement, and addition of more revolutions.

Parental Guidance
Dancers should wear a leotard and tights, or other form-fitting dancewear, with hair in a ponytail or bun. Please find a slip-proof area to dance, and wear proper dance shoes (ballet, jazz, or contemporary/lyrical shoes). Cameras must be on for this class to allow for individual feedback. Parents should ensure that their child is in a safe environment to practice their technique.
