In this paragraph writing class, students will begin to see the joy of writing as they discover the power of persuasion with a pencil! We will begin each class discussing the main elements of a paragraph including a main idea sentence, supporting details and a conclusion sentence. The students will then chose their favorite subject from the theme of the week. We will continue learning about the structure of a paragraph by using a web map for brainstorming our ideas. Students will become more confident in their writing abilities and be able to use their new skills for every writing experience.
Students are welcome to continue to improve their paragraphs after class.
