Are you ready for writing? Improve your narrative writing skills through the writing process. We will study the components of a paragraph. This class meets twice for 20-30 minutes each to cover all steps of the writing process.

Description
Class Experience
With guidance and support from peers and adults, develop and strengthen writing as needed by planning, revising, and editing. Write narratives to develop real or imagined experiences or events by establishing a situation and introducing a narrator and/or characters. Use dialogue and descriptions of actions, thoughts, and feelings to develop experiences and events or show the response of characters to situations. Include thoughts and feelings. Organize an event sequence that unfolds naturally, using temporal words and phrases to signal event order; provide a sense of closure. Demonstrate appropriate command of the conventions of standard English grammar, usage, capitalization, punctuation, and spelling.
Work to be completed independently will vary by class and student ability. A paragraph with revisions will be due for the second class. This task may begin during the first class or completely after the first class.
Notebook and pen to write in over a few days. Microsoft Word or Google Docs are a couple of other options.
