Percy Jackson - The Sea of Monsters (#2): Ancient Greek, Myth, and More!

DESCRPTION:
- This is the second class of five that takes an in-depth look at the extensive classical influence that runs throughout the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series written by Rick Riordan. 
- This is meant to be a FUN adventure to better understand the deeper meaning beneath the mythical context included in the books. 
- Students will learn about and discuss some of the significant Greek gods (and Roman counter parts) and other characters from ancient Greco-Roman mythology that appear in book two. 
- Students will  also specifically look at the creatures that are encountered in his second book and how they compare to their roles in the ancient mythology. 


NOTE: This class uses an interactive presentation platform called Nearpod. This enables learners to see the presentation slides and complete interactive activities throughout the live class.
